The service
PDF Tools Base provides 161 browser-based PDF utilities for merging, splitting, compressing, converting, OCR, signing, editing, forms, security, metadata, inspection, PDF/A-style output, Base64, HTML, URL workflows, and related PDF tasks.
Free use and ads
The tools are free to use and do not require signup. The site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. We may also run Google Ads and Meta ads to promote the website.
Your files and authorisation
You are responsible for the files you select, paste, scan, or process. Use these tools only on documents you own, control, or have permission to process. Do not use the tools for unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful activity.
Browser-side processing
Normal selected-file tools process files in your browser and do not upload selected files to our server. URL/Webpage tools open destination URLs in your browser and may contact those websites. Third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense may process data as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Tool limitations
Every tool is provided on a best-effort basis. Browser memory, file size, PDF complexity, fonts, encryption, OCR quality, camera behavior, rendering differences, and device limits can affect output. Some tools intentionally produce rasterized or approximation outputs, such as visual redaction modes, PDF/A-style output, HTML rendering, source-to-PDF text extraction, or image-based flattening.
Security and passwords
Unlock tools require a known password or a restriction-only PDF that already opens. We do not provide password cracking. Redaction, whiteout, watermark removal, metadata removal, PDF/A-style conversion, and security tools should be verified before relying on them for legal, archival, or confidential use.
Third-party libraries and services
The tools use browser-side JavaScript libraries and local vendor assets. Scripts may include local vendor-first loading with CDN fallback. The root pages also load Google AdSense, Google Analytics 4, and Google Fonts.
Intellectual property
PDF Tools Base, its design, code, text, and branding are owned by Takenick Innovation or its licensors. You retain responsibility for your own uploaded or pasted content.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect conversion, exact layout preservation, certified PDF/A compliance, legal-grade redaction, complete metadata removal, or successful output for every file.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Tools Base and Takenick Innovation are not liable for losses, damages, corrupted files, missed deadlines, business interruption, or decisions made from tool outputs. Always keep backups and verify important results.
Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
